Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Updated: Sep 22, 2021
Do I need a partner to attend dance class? No. All are welcome to attend and we plan to switch partners throughout classes (unless specifically noted otherwise) to allow everyone the chance to dance and practice.
Do I need prior dance experience to take your classes?
No. That is what we are here for, to help you learn regardless of your experience! Our beginner classes are designed for all levels, and as your skills develop, you will move up in our program. Our instructors will work with each student based on their individual dance level.
What type of shoes should I wear?
Special dance shoes are not required for Kizomba. We do recommend wearing shoes that are comfortable for you, that do not grip tightly on the floor, and that have some flexibility (to bend between the toes and ball of your foot), which will allow for smoother movement between steps.
See the list below for some shoe brands that we have found work well:
HEELS
MIA Designs Canada
Burju Shoes
FLATS
Tom’s
Canvas Sneakers
I am not 18 yet. Am I allowed to take classes?
Yes, but your parent / guardian must sign a waiver for you. Email kwalitykiz@gmail.com for a waiver.
What's your refund policy?
All sales are final. Tickets may not be transferred without expressed written permission from Kwality Kiz. Prices are subject to change and class space is subject to availability. For medical issues, please contact us directly at kwalitykiz@gmail.com. Workshop passes cannot be refunded or madeup, and any missed workshops will result in the forfeiture of that class.
In case of inclement weather, how will I know if class is being held?
All class cancellations will be announced via email and social media. The email with which you registered for class is the one we will use to notify you of any kind of change (i.e. class cancellation, class delay, venue change, etc.
